book review: Daughters of Olympus by Hannah Lynn

book review: Daughters of Olympus by Hannah Lynn

As usual, I don't provide the actual summaries and avoid spoilers.  I'm also not providing stars on any reviews here.  Just honest thoughts.

I am a big fan of Greek mythology.  The Daughters of Olympus by Hannah Lynn does not disappoint.  She gives voice to the often overlooked goddesses.  Told first from the perspective of Demeter and then followed by Core.  Watching both women truly embrace their power because of both the abuse and disregard from the gods is enthralling.  I loved when both goddesses displayed their true power and no longer cowered before the gods.

The love story of Hades and Persephone stands out as my favorite amid the Greek mythology lore.  Yes, I know he abducts her to the underworld.  As Greek mythology goes this is quite a tame beginning to a marriage between the gods.

Definitely need to make soaps inspired by this one!  Also need to add her entire Grecian Women series to my TBR list.
