book review: Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccarelli

book review: Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccarelli

Am I a professional when it comes to reviewing books?  Nope.  But I can tell you if I loved it, it was just okay, or (if given the chance) I would unread a book.

Remember how much I talked about loving the first book in the Crimson Mother series HERE?

The second in the duology released and I was so excited to read it.  Now I wish I could unread it.

The troubled romance is definitely still there.  In fact... that is the entire book.  It's like the author forgot about the witch/magical power portion of it until the last five minutes in the book.

What I liked LAST time:  The heroine was not whiny.  The handsome witch hunter. The world that was created.

What I liked in THIS book:  the fact that it is over.  The heroine was definitely whiny in this book.  The witch hunter was still handsome.  World... where did the world go?

Things I didn't like:  I guessed the ending.  Still not subtle with the clues.
